31. PAL/NTSC - Use this button to select between PAL/NTSC
video modes. For U.S., Mexico, and Canada, select NTSC. For
European countries, select PAL.
32. ZOOM - This button allows you to ZOOM in to the DVD im-
age on the screen by using several preset ZOOM levels. You can
ZOOM in at 2x, 3x, and 4x and ZOOM out at 1/2, 1/3, and 1/4
the size of the original picture. This is useful for eliminating bars
above and below the image when viewing widescreen movies.
33. TIME - Press this button to manually input a TRACK or TIME
MARKER that the GIG-MASTER will immediately start playback
from.
34. PROGRAM - Press this button to enter track PROGRAM
mode. The disc must be stopped to enter PROGRAM mode. See
the PROGRAM function in the Operations section of this manual
for a detailed explanation of this feature.
35. RESUME - Press this button to go back to a
specified time.
36. MUTE - Press this button to MUTE or silence the audio track
during playback. Press MUTE a second time to restore the audio
playback.
37. MODE - This button toggles between the different variants of
component video, RGB (European), YUV (US), and S- Video.
38. VOCAL/P (Vocal Partner) - To activate VOCAL PARTNER,
press button once. To remove VOCAL PARTNER, press a second
time.
NOTE: If you try to utilize this feature while a standard or non-multiplex disc is
playing, it will not work as this feature is designed to work on multiplex format
discs only.
39. VOCAL/C (Vocal Cancel) - In order for this feature to work
properly, the disc must be multiplex formatted. Press the VO-
CAL CANCEL button once to remove the lead vocal layer. Press a
second time, and the lead vocal layer will be reestablished. NOTE:
If you try to utilize this feature while a standard or non-multiplex
disc is playing, it will not work as this feature is designed to work
with multiplex format discs only.
