- Bus Utilization
(VME and VSB)
The ' Bus U t i l i z a t i o n ' sub-command invokes the preconfigured
statistics function that provides real-time histograms of the percentage of time
when selected VME or VSB signals and signal combinations are active. This
gives a picture of how much of the time the bus or parts of it is busy.
- Bus Transfer Rate
(VMEbus only)
You get this function by selecting S t a t i s t i c s from the main window, and
then select ' F u n c t i o n / B u s T r a n s f e r R a t e ' .

- Standard Histograms vs. Time History Curves
Two graphical display options are available. The ' S t a n d a r d
H i s t o g r a m s ' option uses histogram bars, showing the current reading of the
statistics counters. ' Time H i s t o r y C u r v e s ' shows how the values
change in time, by means of a curve in an X-Y diagram, where the X-axis
represents time.
- Bar Markers
The bar marker function calculates minimum,
maximum and average values for the ongoing
series of counter readings. The calculated
values are indicated in the proper positions in
the histograms with the symbols as shown in the dialog box below.
To make a bar marker visible, perform the sub-
commands ' Bar M a r k e r s /show' a n d select
the desired marker(s) in the dialog box by using the
<SPACE BAR>.
Average Bar Markers is not available in
Accumulate mode, as this would equal to current value.
The sub-command sequence ' B a r M a r k e r s / R e s e t ' resets the recorded
values for the selected marker(s), so that only subsequent count values (after
this command is executed) will be taken into account when displaying new bar
