Infrared Rotisserie Burner
The rotisserie burner is an infrared burner which
provides intense searing radiant heat. When the
end user lights the burner two things occur. First,
rotating the knob to high and pushing in and
holding, supplies millivolts to gas valve. Press and
hold the ignition switch until burner(s) light, then
release ignition switch only. Keep pushing in on the
burner knob for up to 30 seconds to allow gas valve
to remain open. Then release knob, burner should
remain lit and knob can be adjusted from high to
low. As the rotisserie knob is held, millivolts are
being sent from the thermocouple to the gas valve.
The voltage source is sufficient to create a magnetic
field opening the gas valve allowing gas flow to
continue.
To troubleshoot the thermocouple, first isolate the
source of the issue. If the burner will light, but will
not sustain a flame verify tank pressure, regulator,
gas valve, and thermocouple is proper. If the burner
will not light, verify a spark is present at the igniter.
If no spark is present, verify the voltage source is
proper to the ignition module. If 120 VAC is not
present, verify power at outlet and wiring and repair
replace as needed. If the voltage is proper, verify
the igniter and connections are proper. Replace or
repair as needed.
To access the Rotisserie Burner:
1. Open lid and remove upper rack.
2. Remove screws and rear access panel.
3. Locate rotisserie burner cover(s). Remove
screws securing igniter cover.
