Grill Burner
The unit uses dual burners to generate heat. Once
the selection is made, the valve allows gas to flow
and when the gas comes in contact with a spark
from the igniter or flame from the flash tube,
ignition occurs.
To access the grill burner:
1. Open lid and remove grill grates.
2. Remove flavor generator plates.
3. Unclip holding tab at the rear of each burner.
4.
Remove burner from holding tab at rear of
burner.
5. Remove burner from slots located in front
mounting bracket.
6. Reverse procedure to reinstall.
If burner does not ignite, verify spark and gas flow
at burner. Visually look for a spark at the burner.
If no spark is found, ohm igniter and verify no
cracks. If igniter is proper verify wiring and ignition
module. The spark module receives 120 VAC and
through rectification outputs a DC voltage to the
igniters. If voltage is supplied to the module, wiring
is proper, and no spark occurs, replace the ignition
module. If no gas is available, make sure the gas
is turned on the supply is available. If supply is
proper and still no flow, verify gas valve and orifice.
If orifice or air shutter is not plugged and still not
flowing, replace the gas valve.
