Disassembly Procedures

WARNING

To avoid risk of electrical shock, personal injury, or death, disconnect power to unit before servicing,
unless testing requires power.

Auger Motor Removal

Condition Requirements:

Auger Motor Assembly Removed
1. Remove auger drive nut.
2. Remove three screws holding auger motor to

assembly.

3. Disconnect wires from auger motor capacitor.

4. Reverse procedure for installation.

Evaporator Fan Motor Assembly

Condition Requirements:

Lower Freezer Light Socket Removed
1. Remove screws and lower evaporator cover.
2. Disconnect evaporator fan wiring and ground from

motor.

3. Raise top freezer cover about two inches and pull

complete evaporator motor assembly from freezer.

4. Reverse procedure for install

ation

Evaporator Fan Motor and Fan Blade

Condition Requirements:

Evaporator Fan Motor Assembly Removed
1. Remove evaporator fan blade by pulling blade off

evaporator fan shaft.

2. Remove fan motor by squeezing motor retainer clips

together to release retainer.

3. Remove retainer and slide motor out.

4. Reverse procedure for install

ation

Defrost Thermostat Removal

Condition Requirements:

Lower Freezer Light Socket Removed
1.  Disconnect orange lead from defrost heater.
2.  Cut brown lead close to defrost thermostat.
3.  Unclip defrost thermostat from evaporator coil.

4. Replace thermostat and use wire nut(s) included in

defrost thermostat kit.

5. Reverse procedure for installation.
