Water, Crushed, or
Cubed LED will not
illuminate but Water,
Crushed, or Cubed
mode operates
properly when
selected.
Failed MPCB.
Replace MPCB.
Failed Main dispenser
switch (failed open).
Disconnect power. Remove both
leads from the switch and
measure resistance across switch
terminals. Resistance should read
less than 1
Ω
in this position and
higher than 10 M
Ω
when switch is
open.
Replace switch.
Failed Fountain display
board or MPCB
With unit powered, close main
dispenser switch and press
crushed ice pad.
Measure 12 VDC between pin-1
(BK/GN) to pin-4 (LT/BU) on
Fountain Display Board.
No 12 VDC, replace
Fountain Display
Board. 12 VDC
present, check for
120 VAC on J1 pin-3
(BU/WH) on MPCB.
No 120 VAC, replace
MPCB.
Crushed LED is
illuminated but does
not dispense
crushed ice when
Main dispenser
switch is pressed.
Failed auger motor or
MPCB.
With unit powered, press the Main
dispenser switch. Measure voltage
on J1 pin-3 (BU/WH) on MPCB.
Voltage should read 120 VAC.
Replace auger motor
if voltage reads
120VAC. If not,
replace MPCB.
Failed Main dispenser
switch (failed short).
Disconnect power. Remove both
leads from the switch and
measure resistance across switch
terminals. Resistance should read
less than 1
Ω
in this position and
higher than 10 M
Ω
when switch is
open.
Replace switch.
Crushed ice starts to
dispense as soon as
Crushed mode is
selected without
pressing the Main
dispenser switch.
Failed MPCB.
With unit powered, measure
voltage on J1 pin-3 (BU/WH) on
MPCB. Voltage should read
0 VAC.
120 VAC present,
replace MPCB.
Cavity frosted or iced Failed cavity heater
Disconnect power. Disconnect and
measure resistance of heater on
door 2-pin connector of
approximately 13 K ohms.
13 K ohms present,
connect 2-pin
connector. With unit
powered, measure
120 VAC on 2-pin
door connector. No
120 VAC, correct
wiring.
