General

NOTE THAT THIS SYSTEM MAY BE EQUIPPED WITH AC OR DC INPUTS. THESE PROCEDURES
APPLY TO SYSTEMS WITH DC INPUTS. SPECIFICALLY, THESE PROCEDURES APPLY TO THE
FOLLOWING EQUIPMENT:

Wiring Considerations

For wire size, branch circuit protection, crimp lug, and general wiring recommendations; refer to System
Application Guide SAG582127000 and Power Data Sheet PD588705000 or PD588705300.

DC Input Termination Assemblies

The available DC input options for this system are:

•

The system can be equipped with a DC input termination assembly which provides a separate DC input
connection for each converter position (582127000 List 45).

•

The system can be equipped with a DC input termination assembly which provides a separate DC input
connection for every two (2) converter positions (582127000 List 46).

•

The system can be equipped with a DC input termination assembly which provides a separate DC input
connection for every three (3) converter positions (582127000 List 47).

Direct DC Input Connections to the Module Mounting Assemblies

•

The system can be equipped with module mounting assemblies that contain DC input terminal blocks
which provide a separate DC input connection for each converter position (588705000 List 41).

•

The system can be equipped with module mounting assemblies that contain DC input terminal blocks
which provide a separate DC input connection for every two (2) converter positions (588705000 List
42).

Connections to DC Input Termination Assemblies (582127000 List 45, 46, and 47)

The DC input termination assemblies provide circular openings at the top for DC input and grounding
conductors. The openings accept 1 inch conduit fittings. It is recommended that DC input wiring be provided
to all converter mounting positions, including currently unused positions. This wiring will ease future
installation of converters to meet increased load requirements.

NOTE!

A grounding conductor is required with each conduit connection

Accessing Connections and Routing Wire

Remove the two DC input connector covers and the DC input wireway covers by first loosening the
fasteners that secure each of them.
