Handling the load
• To avoid damaging the hook, position the lifting device only on the load bearing surface of the
hook. In this way, the lifting device is positioned on the lowest point of the hook.
• Ensure that the hook safety latches are closed. Check that the safety latch is not subjected to
any force by the load.
• Weight of the load must be centered on the center line of the hook forging so that the load
does not bend the hook shank. Do not try to lift anything with the tip of the hook.
