8.4 Advanced
The Advanced tab under Tools offers the following tools:
ReVeal EZ Connect
Packet Capture
Fiber Scope
WiFi Spectrum Analyzer
Data Card/GPS
Signature Pad

8.4.1 ReVeal EZ Connect
The ReVeal EZ connect feature can be used to quickly connect your PC running ReVeal software to your VePAL device for stored
results and profile management or remote control application. In ReVeal EZ connect mode your V300 will act as a DHCP server,
assigning an IP address to your PC connected in DHCP mode.

8.4.2 Packet Capture
The packet capture function can be used to capture packets to and from the Ethernet management port. The packet capture format
is compatible with Wireshark and can be viewed on a PC.

8.4.3 Fiber Scope
The Fiber Scope Inspector is an ideal tool for checking fiber optic connectors for dirt and end face quality. The handheld probe
design enables easy inspection of patch cords and difficult to reach bulkhead or patch panel connectors. Clear images are displayed
on the V300 products for immediate analysis and can be saved for record keeping.

8.4.4 WiFi Spectrum Analyzer
WiFi SA is a portable spectrum analyzer on a USB dongle that displays all RF activity in the WiFi bands (e.g.,s wireless networks,
cordless phones, microwave ovens, Bluetooth devices, etc.).

8.4.5 Data Card/GPS
An IP Connection on the unit can be established using a data card. To establish an IP connection using a data card, please make
sure that the data card is connected on the hub and that the switch is on.

8.4.6 Signature Pad
This feature enables a portion of the screen to be used as a signature pad.

An IP test will verify that the IP network is configured properly and connected to the Internet.
