3. After CX180R-IGM connection is made, tap Exit to return to the Main Menu and start Return Path Analysis and Spectrum Analysis. To stop the Remote View
session, return to the Remote View menu to disconnect.
USG Setup menu:
Enter the USG test parameters, then press 'Start.' Tabs are available on the USG home screen to allow quick access of Spectrum Analysis mode and Return Path
Analysis mode.
To conduct Spectrum Analysis:
1. From the Home menu, enter Spectrum Analysis.
2. Port number for spectrum analysis can be changed from Port 1 to Port 10.
3. Tap USG+FEC to enter USG+FEC setup page.
4. Spectrum analysis bandwidth is from 5 to 65MHz. Spectrum data is sent from CX180R-IGM to CX350-Controller via Internet connection in real time.
To conduct Return Path QAM analysis:
QAM signal is normally generated by the CX350-Controller USG. Measurement is done by the CX180R-IGM and sent back to CX350-Controller via Internet
connection in real time.
Enter the CX180R-IGM port number to be used and then return to the USG+FEC menu.
For operations between CX350 and a CX380 unit:
Remotely View a CX380 unit configured in Responder mode for the following tests:
Spectrum Analysis
Return Path QAM Analysis
Return Path Alignment with CW signal generated by USG
1. Under the Setup/Main menu, select 'Controller' under Remote View Mode.
2. Under the Advanced Tools menu, press the Remote View tab.
3. On the Remote View Setup page:
For Responder Type, select CX380
Edit or select CX380 Responder by IP address and name
Select the IP Port type
Press 'Connect' to start
4. After connection is successfully made, press 'Exit' to start the Remote View application. To stop Remote View, enter the Remote View menu and press
'Disconnect'.
To conduct Spectrum Analysis:
1. From the Home menu, enter Spectrum Analysis.
Spectrum analysis can be from 5 to 1000MHz. The sample shown is the QAM signal generated by the CX350-Controller unit and measured by
the CX350-Responder unit. Live spectrum traces are sent from the CX350-Responder and displayed by the CX350-Controller in real time via
Internet connection. A shortcut to USG+FEC is availableto allow quick access to the USG features.
