Comment:
When the scope capture feed is on, it is likely that the MPO fiber is not in focus or present on the screen. The key-up and
key-down adapter that comes with the DI-1000MPO standard package is a straight-through connection so the MPO fiber # at the start
matches the MPO fiber # at the end (not flipped). When using the adapter, the user should know that the starting MPO fiber #1 will be
at the rightmost position on the current bottom row (the DI-1000MPO tip uses the key-up side of the adapter)
There are two methods for the user to scope MPO fibers using the DI-1000MPO. This is assuming MPO12/48 fiber variant.
A.)
Touchscreen method
. (standard)
1.) The user will press the touchscreen’s
Capture Fiber
button for every MPO fiber properly focused, analyzed, and
scoped. Manually press
OK
in the touchscreen pop-up window to confirm the MPO fiber number, then adjust the scope
controls (horizontal (x-axis) control only) to navigate to the next fiber.
B.)
Fiberscope button method
(fast)
1.) The user will press the fiberscope capture button (located on the fiberscope’s bottom) successively to capture,
confirm the MPO fiber number, and add the fiber screenshot to the list. This process is more efficient and can be fun to
use. The user only would need to rotate the x-direction (horizontal control) to the next consecutive MPO fiber and the
logging actions are done on the fiberscope itself. Scoping an MPO-12 fiber can be done under a minute (no mistakes)
with practice.
Action 1:
Either press
Capture Fiber
(touchscreen) or
Fiberscope button
to trigger the save window. Press
Save
or
Fiberscope
button
to confirm or capture screenshot for MPO fiber #1
