The built-in VeExpress client downloads the uncompressed RXT-1200-veex.tar.gz upgrade package directly to the root of the
memory stick attached to the test set, so the System software upgrade process can be started right away.
5.5.2 Module Software Upgrade Procedure
1. Obtain the required RXT-1200-300sm.tar.gz, RXT-1200-320sm.tar.gz and/or RXT-1200-OTDR.tar.gz, upgrade files.
, a link provided or by using the built-in VeExpress client.
Unzip the files and copy to the root of a FAT32 USB memory stick if necessary.
2. Insert the memory stick to the USB port located on the left-side of the unit.
3. Initiate Software Upgrade process.
Open the Utilities section Go to
>Utilities >M.Upgrade.
Select new version and press
Upgrade
.
The test set turns itself
OFF
at the end.
4. The test applications are up-to-date.

The process may need to be repeated if two different blade types are loaded.
5.5.3 RXT-2000A Software Upgrade Procedure
Download and unzip the file from the link you received via email, or go to
Copy the RxT2000A.tar.gz install package to the root of a FAT32 USB Memory.
Insert Memory Stick into a USB port.
Insert the empty MTT Carrier module.
Remove any MTT module from it.
Attach the DC charger to the test set and turn the test set
ON.
Go to
>Utilities > M.Upgrade
.
Verify that the new version is detected.
Tap on the
Upgrade
button.
Any running test will be terminated.
The test set will shut down once the update process has finished.
Turn the test set
ON
and the RXT-2000A Carrier module is now up-to-date.
Older RXT-2000A module (dark gray), manufactured by Sunrise Telecom®, can be upgraded to version 2.x, to make it fully
compatible with VeEX RXT-1200. But backward compatibility with RXT-1000 can’t be guaranteed.
Perform this procedure only if you plan to continue using the RXT-2000A with the new RXT-1200.
5.5.4 RXT-2XX0 (RXT-C MTT-XX Module)
The MTT Module software upgrade process is similar to the RXT-2000A process.
