Boot Sequence
Stalled
Boot device jumper(s) in wrong
position(s).
Verify jumper positions.
For SD card: on J1203, off J1201 and J1202.
For SATA drive: on J1201 and J1202, off J1203.
The console cannot read the SD
Card, is not able to read the RAM,
or the SD Card is missing.
1. Open the console’s printer and display cover fol-
lowing as described in Step 1 of “Removing The Ack
Switch Panel/Display (Right) Door And CPU Board”
on page 7-3.
2. Confirm SD is present (Item 10 in Figure 2-11 on
page 2-10) - if not, order SD card. If present con-
tinue to next step.
3. Remove the SD Card by pushing in on the SD
Card then quickly releasing it letting it spring free of
its enclosure’s latch so you can slide it out. While
you have the SD Card out, check the position of the
write protect slide on the side of the SD Card, mak-
ing sure it is in the position shown below and then
reinsert it in its enclosure until it clicks into the enclo-
sure’s latch:

Power On
AC Power Input connector (Item 3,
Figure 2-5) is loose.
Verify AC Power Input connector is fully seated in its
connector.
The wires in the power input plug
are pinched underneath the termi-
nal’s screws.
Verify each of the wires is correctly seated in each of
the plug’s terminal clamps. If the clamps are not
opened all the way when inserting the wires into the
plug, the wires can be inserted behind the clamps
preventing proper contact.
Wires to the power input plug are
attached to the wrong power input
terminals.
Verify correct wiring.
Fuse missing or blown.
Check F4 fuse (Item 5 in Figure 2-6).
Power supply board bad.
Replace Power supply board.
AC input board bad.
Replace AC input board.
CPU board bad.
Replace CPU board.
Comm backplane board bad.
Replace Comm backplane board.
I/O backplane board bad.
Replace I/O backplane board.
