Console Troubleshooting
TLS-450PLUS Troubleshooting Guide
No display reading
No AC power to monitor.
Verify power circuit breaker is switched ON Ensure
power cable is properly secured to AC Input Power
connector (item 3, Figure 2-5).
AC fuse blown.
Check fuses on AC Input module and Power Supply
board.
Defective power supply.
Replace Power Supply board.
Defective display board.
Replace display door.
Printer will not print or
feed paper
Printer Error Alarm - Printer Traction
lever in down position.
Raise printer traction lever to up position.
Printer out of paper.
Load thermal paper (Veeder-Root Part No. 514100-
328).
Loose printer cable.
Check connections between printer and CPU board.
Defective printer.
Replace printer door.
Defective printer communication
module.
System will not com-
municate via fax.
Incorrect or defective interconnect
cable.
Check cable between TLS and telephone jack.
Problem with telephone line.
Call phone company.
Incorrect modem baud rate, parity,
data bits, or stop bit settings.
Set all to agree with host device. Recheck device
setup parameters.
Defective modem card.
Replace modem.
System will not com-
municate via RS-232
Module
Incorrect cable.
Use null cable when connecting to terminal/ com-
puter. Use straight cable when connected to external
modem.
Incorrect modem baud rate, parity,
data bits, or stop bit settings.
Set all to agree with host device. Recheck device
setup parameters.
Defective RS-232 Module.
Replace module.
Defective host terminal or modem.
