Problem Probable Cause Solution
LLWAS processing status is
DEGRADED
.
Some of the sensors are inactive,
but the number of inactive sensors
does not exceed the limit for
inaccurate data. The reported data
is still fairly reliable and windshear
and microburst alerts can be
provided.
Contact maintenance.
LLWAS processing status is
SUPPORT
.
Data is not available because the
number of inactive sensors
exceeds the preconfigured limit for
inaccurate data, or the system has
been recently restarted and there
is not enough data available yet. Wait for 2 minutes to see if the
status changes to
NORMAL
. If it
does not, contact maintenance.
Note that the system cannot
produce windshear and microburst
alerts.
The letters
MMM
and
MM
replace the
wind direction and wind speed
values in the LLWAS screen.
The sensor data is missing. Wait for 2 minutes to see if the
values appear. If they do not,
contact maintenance.
There are slashes (///) in data
fields. The data is missing because of
problems in the system. Check the Diagnostics application
for
DATA MISSING
message. If
there is no
DATA MISSING
message, wait for 10 minutes. The
data status should change back to
normal.
The system has been recently
restarted and there is not enough
data available yet.
If the slashes remain in the fields,
contact maintenance.
Data field value is red. The data is invalid, or out of the
preset validation limits. Contact maintenance.
Data field value is brownish yellow. The data is not updated by the
system because of problems in
sensor communication.
Wait for 5 minutes to see if the
data field color changes to normal.
If slashes appear in the data field
(missing status), contact
maintenance.
Data field value is purple and
values do not change. The data is inserted manually
because of problems with the
sensor.
Contact observer or maintenance
for more information.
Data field value is blue. The data comes from a backup
source. Contact maintenance for more
information.
