9.6

Hydraulics

The hydraulic system must always be bled after
servicing. Make sure there is nobody in the
immediate working area of the machine.

This adjustment must take place without removal
of any of the piston rods from the machine.

When bleeding the hydraulic system, it is not
necessary to undo any couplings. All you do is
use the tractor’s hydraulics.

9.6.1

1. Unfold the machine to the working position.

2. Open the cylinders to their outer end positions.

3. When the first cylinder has been filled completely, oil

will continue to flow into the next cylinder via the
overflow channel, and so on.

4. Keep the tractor’s hydraulic lever in position so that

oil is continuously pressed into the cylinders (for
approx. 10–15 seconds during daily synchronising;
approx. 1–2 minutes following service on the
hydraulics system).

9.6.2

Bleeding of the folding ram

To bleed the hydraulic cylinder, operate the piston rod
a few times between its outermost and innermost end
stops until all air has been bled.

9.6.3

Service of hydraulic components

During servicing of the hydraulic system, the
machine must always be folded out and lowered
to the ground. The hydraulic circuit must be
depressurised.

Never stand near hydraulic hoses under pressure.
Drain the system’s accumulators before servicing
the hydraulic system.

All work and repairs must be carried out in line
with qualified procedures.
