Resolver - connection.
Applicable only for DS xx-RS
The resolver is an absolute
measuring system for one motor
revolution. It is rugged and not
sensitive to high motor
temperatures. Its set-up is like a
rotating transformer. The rotor is
fed by the reference (10kHz).
The stator provides the sinus and
cosine signals modulated by the
rotation reference.
The amplitudes of these signals
are evaluated and digitalized in
the servo amplifier.
The resolution is fixed to 12bit
(4096 inc./rpm). The maximum
possible rotational speed is
15600. The digitalized signals are
used for the rotor angle, the
position and speed control and for
the incremental output. The
absolute accuracy is /- 10
angular minutes.
Connecting plug: X7 - 15pin D-plug
Connecting lead: 4 Twisted pair, individually shielded plus outer shield.
For Link-chains, only suitable cable should be used.
Cable length: For > 25m, use only high quality resolver cable with adequate
shielding properties.
Shielded connection: at plug X7 contact shield with the plug housing.
At the motor plug - contact shield with the plug housing.
