AUXILIARY INPUTS AND OUTPUTS
10.1.
STANDARD SCART CONNECTOR
This connector allows audio and video exchange with external devices; it is therefore
possible to control an external monitor as well as to receive signals for the field strength
meter’s monitor. Communication can be obtained by holding down the TV button and
selecting SOURCE <EXT>.
10.2.
HDMI CONNECTION
The HDMI port is configured in
digital Audio and Video output
mode.
The signals’ output is present when the digital program viewing function is enabled (MPEG
decoding). In this mode, it is possible to control an external monitor as well as to view the
images and listen to the audio.
10.3.
RS 232 SERIAL PORT AND USB PORT
The RS232 serial port

allow for the instrument to be connected to a
Personal Computer, an external printer (our model STP165) or other devices, including third
party printers.
The connection scheme for connecting the RS232 cable to a Personal Computer or Printer is
found below.

Transmission format
The instrument leaves the factory with its RS232 serial port configured in the following
manner:
Baud Rate 38400,
Number of bits 8, Stop bits 2
Parity none.
In order to change the configuration, hold down the
DATA
button and select the RS232
PRMT item from the menu.
