4.17.
THE MAIN MENU
The Main Menu can be accessed by holding down the
MENU
button for about 2 seconds. It
is used to customize the operating mode, as well as to insert settings and to perform less
frequent operations.
Use the Shaft Encoder to select the desired menu item and press
ENTER
. Press the
MENU
button
to exit.

MAIN MENU FUNCTIONS
4.17.1.1.
DATE
Sets the current date. The values can be set using the Shaft Encoder. The Day, Month and
Year values can be scrolled through by pressing
ENTER
.
4.17.1.2.
TIME
Sets the current time. The values can be set using the Shaft Encoder. The Hours, Minutes
and Seconds values can be scrolled through by pressing
ENTER
.
4.17.1.3.
CONFIGURATION
Contains the indications regarding the instrument’s software version and the list of the
installed options, as well as the specific software settings for some of the options
themselves.
4.17.1.4.
NOISE GENERATOR
The noise generator can be set to either enabled (ON) or disabled (OFF). If the device is
not installed, the label “absent” will appear.
4.17.1.5.
LANGUAGE
Press
ENTER
and turn the shaft encoder to set the desired menu language.
4.17.1.6.
PLUG and PLAY
Enables or disables Plug and Play functionality.
This function must be enabled whenever any hardware modifications are made to the
instrument (for example, when the user adds an optional card).
If this function is disabled, the device will turn on more quickly.
4.17.2.
BUTTONS WITH SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
A white square appears on various buttons, indicating that a secondary function is
associated with the button in question. These buttons can be used to quickly access the
following functions:

2nd+ACS:
the ACS (Automatic Channel Search) function allows for terrestrial
channels to be searched automatically. When this function is activated, the
information described below is displayed:
•
indications regarding the channeling system
•
the type of search to be performed (only analogue channels, only digital channels or
both analogue and digital channels)
•
the minimum level for the analogue channels, below which the search will not be
performed
•
the minimum power for the digital channels, below which the search will not be
performed
