4.3.1.
BATTERY STATUS
The battery icon on the upper left-hand portion of the screen provides information
regarding the battery’s status and indicates the device’s residual autonomy.
4.3.1.1.
CONDITIONS OF USE AT START UP
Upon activation, the instrument configures itself with the same usage conditions as when it
was last shut off, with the following exceptions:
•
The
RF IN (5)
input connector’s power supply output voltage is always excluded for
safety reasons.
•
The measurement status of the QPSK , OFDM or QAM digital sections is not restored.
Every time a button is pressed to confirm an operation, a brief acoustic note will be emitted.
If desired, this "beep" can be excluded by holding down the
button to access the
adjustments menu and then selecting the "BUZZER" item.
4.4.
AUDIO/VIDEO ADJUSTMENTS
In order to adjust the device’s volume, brightness, contrast, colour, buzzer volume and
tone, press the
repeatedly until the desired adjustment appears on the display. Turn
the
shaft
encoder
to adjust the value. Press
ENTER
to confirm or else wait for the time
out.
4.5.
TUNING
Tuning may be carried out by frequency, channel or program. In order to select the desired
mode, press the corresponding button:
PR
for program,
CH
for channel and
FR
for
frequency, to alternate between channel mode and frequency mode. The indicator that
corresponds to the selection will flash on the status bar. Whichever mode has been
selected, the tuning is carried out by turning the shaft encoder dial or else by inserting the
values using the numeric keyboard. Press
ENTER
to confirm the settings.
In satellite band, it is possible to alternate between viewing the frequency in 1
st
IF and
transponder frequency by pressing the
LO
button.
Furthermore, using the
TP SAT
function located in the side menu (this can be activated by
pressing
ENTER
when the instrument is in satellite band), the tuning of the satellite
transponders takes place by selecting the corresponding transponder number.
In order to select the desired satellite, press the
2nd
and
TP SAT
buttons, select the
satellite item from the menu that appears on the screen and then press
ENTER
.
Turn the shaft encoder dial to highlight the desired satellite, then press
ENTER
again to
confirm your selection.
4.5.1.
LOCAL OSCILLATOR (LO) MENU
Hold down the
LO
button

for about two seconds to access the relative menu:
•
DEFAULT LO: select this item to view the default frequency of the local oscillators for
a universal LNB: LO1=9750 MHz, LO2=10600 MHz
•
USER LO: select this item to open a second window that will allow for the frequencies
of four available local oscillators to be configured.
To exit the menu and return to normal operating mode, press the
LO
button
