5-2. Recommended parts for replacement
In order to use the power supply for a long period of time, ULVAC recommends a periodic overhaul.
See Table 5-1 below for parts that we recommend you replace during the periodic overhaul.
When it is time to overhaul the power supply, always ask ULVAC.
If you replace parts yourself or have parts replaced by another manufacturer without the
permission of ULVAC, future repairs will be performed for a fee regardless of the warranty period
based on the no charge repair provisions (page V).

1.
Recommended replacement period is not a guarantee of the product's lifespan. The rate of
consumption of these components may also greatly differ according to the frequency of
equipment usage and the environment.
2.
Especially as for a power semiconductor, the lifespan changes according to the equipment
usage.
In a high usage environment temperature, frequent ON/OFF cycle operation, and
operation near rating, a lifespan becomes short.
3.
The lifespan of Electrolytic capacitor will become short according to the high usage environment
temperature.
4 .
Mechanical operation parts(Magnetic contactor)has a lifespan by the number of time of
operation. So, a lifespan becomes short in operating frequently.
5.
The above-mentioned parts recommended for replacement assume the case of being general.
According to a usage environment, the situation of input equipment, etc., since it may be better for
other parts to also carry out maintenance exchange, please consult.
6.
When it is kept in the state where prolonged turning on electricity is not performed,
deterioration may occur to the internal element in a shorter term than the recommended
exchange number of years.
