3-3. Installing the DC power supplies and controller
3-3-1. Power receiving equipment
The AC input equipment below is required to operate this power supply (see Table 2-1 for details).

* The above is the necessary power receiving capacity for a single power supply unit. The number
of power supplies differs depending on the system configuration. The actually used capacity
corresponds to the number of power supplies. Power for the controller is separately required.
* ULVAC recommends isolating the AC input for both the DC power supplies and the controller
with isolating transformers.
3-3-2. Class A grounding
This power supply's output voltage is over 1000 V, so it falls under the category of high voltage
equipment. Therefore, a Class A ground (previous term: Class 1 ground) with a ground resistance
of 10 Ω or lower is required.
According to Japanese standards, Class A grounding defined in the Electrical Equipment
Technical Standards is applicable.
If not completely grounded, the target device may be damaged and workers may be severely
impacted.
