All components of your Mechanica M2
were carefully examined in our factory.
Despite this, if a component should not fulfill its function and one
or more of the testing criteria listed above cannot be guaranteed,
please give us a call. This makes it possible for us to help you in a
quick and uncomplicated way.
Test Record for Gear train
Axial Clearance of Arbors

All arbors between the plates should allow themselves
to be lightly moved back and forth along their axes.
The clearance should be visible and clearly tangible.

The intermediate and hour wheels should
easily sit on their arbors or pillars and exhibit
axial clearance.

Spring barrel and Click
When winding, the ratchet should be audible
as it locks into the ratchet wheel

While the mainspring unwinds, the Gear train
should rotate evenly and become
continuously slower.

Assembling the Escapement
As soon as you have assembled and tested the Gear train, you can
add the watch’s regulating organ: the pre-assembled escapement

with its 11 rubis and Swiss lever escapement

Every escapement for the Mechanica M2 has been carefully
examined and adjusted in our factory before delivery. In order to
reach satisfying rate results right from the start, please ensure
that the balance spring stud carriers
*
, buckle and index
*
are not
accidentally moved before being put into operation.
To fit the escapement you will need:

To visually upgrade your Mechanica M2—particularly if you have
also ordered the dial version available with the cutaway—a lavishly
finished

, rhodium-plated, diamond-milled escapement with Screw
balance

is also available. Its
blued

balance spring

and
screws beautifully contrast with
the rhodium-plated parts of the
escapement and are especially
decorative in any watch or
clock. The escapement with
Screw balance replaces the
serially delivered escapement
when assembling the move-
ment.
