ssories in soapy water and dry them.

the appliance as if it were about to make an espresso coffee but
without any coffee, so as to flush through all of the parts on the
coffee maker.
PREPARING ESPRESSO COFFEE
1. Fill the tank with cold water and fit it into position, pressing on it
until it locks into position, Figure 1.
2. This coffee maker is equipped with a Barcream device (8) that
fits inside the filter holder. This disc ensures that creamy coffee is
produced.
Due to the way it works, you will see a small amount of residual
water inside the filter.
Place the barcream disc (8) in the filter holder (7). Place the filter (9)
on top of the filter holder (7) + barcream disc (8). Use the coffee
scoop to fill the filter (1 scoop = 1 cup, 2 scoops = 2 cups), Figure
2.
Clean away any coffee that might be around the edge of the filter
holder.
3. Fit the filter holder into its housing. Turn the filter holder to the
right until it stops, Figure 3. Do not force it.

5. Thanks to the self-priming system there is no special procedure
required should the water tank runs dry or if the coffee maker is not
used for prolonged periods.
PREPARING CAPPUCCINO
The steam can be used to preheat cups, warm liquids up or to pre-
pare cappuccino coffee. A cappuccino is espresso coffee with a
little milk and a layer of froth. This froth is made by using the steam
nozzle on a jug of cold milk and then added to the espresso co-
ffee.
In order to avoid excess pressure on the inside of the filter, it is advi-
sable to remove the filter holder before using the steam.
Make sure that button (14) [
] is in the ON position.
Next, press button (15) [
], pilot lamps (16) [
] and (18) [
] will light. When the temperature lamp (16) [
] switches
off, the steam will be at the right temperature.
1. Turn the steam control (6) anticlockwise, Figure 4, and place a
container below the steam nozzle (3). When the water inside the
pipe finishes coming out, place the nozzle inside the jug of milk and
turn the steam control knob again so that steam comes out, Figure
5.
2. Lift the jug up and down slightly. Try not to let the liquid go above the
top of the nozzle as this will prevent air from entering. To obtain frothy
milk, place the steam pipe just on the surface of the milk.
3. Add the frothy milk to the coffee. If you want, you can sprinkle it
with cinnamon, nutmeg or grated chocolate and decorate it with a
stick of cinnamon.
Important: Clean any leftover milk off nozzle when you have finis-
hed preparing the froth. It is advisable to give the nozzle a quick
burst of steam to clean it out.
