Tear-Off Edge

The tear-off edge is fitted to the front of the print unit by means of
two #T20 Torx screws. The edge is not only used for tearing off
paper strip, but it also helps to separate self-adhesive labels from the
backing paper, when a paper rewind unit is used (peel-off opera-
tion).

When paper or labels are to be rewound internally (see chapter 9),
the tear-off edge must be replaced by an optional label rewind guide
using the same screws, as illustrated below. When not used, the
rewind guide can be stored at the rear of the paper compartment as
illustrated in chapter 1.1.

When the tear-off edge is fitted back after rewind operation, make
sure to mount it as far down as the holes for the screws allow.
