CPU Board failure, cont'd.

• If you have run the aforementioned diagnosis tests and a visual

inspection of the board does not reveal anything abnormal, it
could be that the user program has somehow got stuck, i.e. the
RAM memory is overflowed or contains meaningless data.

An easy way to clear all RAM memory, including saved pro-
grams, is to enter the Service part of the Setup Mode by means of
a special password (491601) instead of the normal password
(1138). This action will clear all RAM memory and set all
parameters to their default values.

If, for some reason, you cannot enter the Setup Mode, the memory
can be cleared simply by removing and refitting the RAM
packages.
