GENERAL INFORMATION
Verify that the location of the AQUASONIC System meets
the requirements calculated in the design section (i.e. pipe
lengths, number of elbows, vertical rise, etc.).
After completion of system installation, system acceptance
may be required by the Authority Having Jurisdiction. If so,
follow the appropriate system acceptance steps stated in
NFPA 750 “Water Mist Fire Protection Systems” and FM
Global Property Loss Prevention Data Sheet Number 4-0,
“Special Protection Systems.”
NITROGEN CYLINDER INSTALLATION
Nitrogen cylinders may be located inside or outside the
protected space, although it is preferable to locate them
outside of the space. They must not be located where they
will be exposed to a fire or explosion in the hazard. When
they are installed within the space they protect, a remote
manual control must be installed to release the system
safely from outside the hazard area.
The cylinders should be installed so that they can be easily
removed after use for recharging. Cylinders must be
installed indoors. Do not install the cylinders where they are
exposed to direct sun rays.
