26 Introduction
Configure Connection via Ethernet
If you wish to connect to a CORIOmatrix using an Ethernet connection, the process
should be simple, as any CORIOmatrix with up-to-date firmware (M300 or later) defaults
to DHCP and should be discoverable on your network. tvONE recommends that you
change any CORIOmatrix device in a fixed networked installation to a static IP address.
Initially, your CORIOmatrix will acquire an IP address via DHCP. Use the CORIOdiscover
application provided on the USB memory stick included in the box to find and configure
your CORIOmatrix.
As well as installing the CORIOdiscover application, make sure your computer and the
CORIOmatrix are on the same Ethernet network. If you do not want the CORIOmatrix on
your network yet, you can connect the computer directly to the CORIOmatrix via Ethernet
and configure it with this direct IP connection.
1. Once the CORIOmatrix and your PC are on the same network or directly
connected, open the CORIOdiscover application which automatically scans for
any CORIO devices. The application automatically refreshes data every few
seconds and any changes will appear within ten seconds. If you wish to re-scan
on demand, click the green refresh button at the top right.
2. If you have multiple devices on the network, identify the specific CORIOmatrix you
wish to configure by verifying the serial number in the application (the serial
number is located on a sticker underneath the unit).
