130 Resolution Editor Guide
Resolution Editor Constraints
Custom Resolution support and the CORIO discover Resolution Editor is available from
firmware version M306 onwards.
Custom Resolutions cannot be used with SDI input or outputs. The unit can save a
maximum of ten Custom Resolutions.
The Custom Resolutions are definable within the following constraints:
x
all numeric values are in pixels unless otherwise stated.
x
all numeric values are positive integers or zero.
x
string values may not contain spaces.
x
string values may only be valid printable ASCII characters.
x
string values are limited in the number of characters they may contain.
Custom Resolutions do not support:
x
borders (any required border values must be included in the front and back porches).
x
the pixel clock is limited to the following range:
o
13.5MHz to 162MHz
x
The value for the Active Video must not be zero.
Interlaced Custom Resolutions require that:
x
the vertical front and back porches are twice the even field.
x
the vertical sync pulse is twice the even value.
The CEA identifier information option (CEAID) does not affect the Custom Resolution - it is
there for providing attached equipment with information on the resolution. Only set this value
when defining a Custom Resolution that complies with the CEA profile for that value.
Custom Resolutions become persistent after using the
System.SaveAllSettings()
operation.
Note : The unit might not display an image if the CEAID is non-zero and the Custom
Resolution does not conform to the CEA format for that value
