INSTRUMENT CHECKOUT
AND MAINTENANCE

•

The T-BERD 107A conducts a dynamic
calibration of various measurement func-
tions. During dynamic calibration, the
message CALIBRATING…is displayed.
If there is a problem, the message CALIB
ERROR is displayed. In such instances,
contact the TTC Customer Service
Department at (800) 638-2049.

Configure the T-BERD 107A switches

Connect the TX jack to the RX jack

Use a bantam plug to bantam plug cable to
connect the TX jack to the RX jack.

Signal verification

Verify that the T1 Pulses and Pattern Sync
LEDs illuminate.

NOTE:

If the Low Battery LED is illumi-
nated or illuminates at any time
during this procedure, continue the
instrument checkout. When the in-
strument checkout is complete, turn
off the T-BERD 107A, but leave
the T-BERD 107A AC power
adapter attached to recharge the
battery. Recharge the battery for a
minimum of eight hours before op-
erating the T-BERD 107A from the
battery.
