1. Press the valet switch button for approximately 1 second.
2. Use the remote Joker remote.
The authorization of anti-hijack function is confirmed by single 2 seconds pulse on LED.
If the anti-hijack is not authorized and the ignition is switched on, the LED goes off and the VSS starts to wait for the
RF transmission from Joker remote.
If, during 45 seconds after turning the ignition on
the DS500 does not receive any information from the Joker
remote, the anti-hijack procedure goes as described below:
1. The sirens starts to play short double chirps. The interval between consecutive double chirps constantly
decreases as the anti-hijack process goes on. This state is signalized by with short blink of LED every 2 seconds.
2.
If during next 45 seconds
the anti hijack is not authorized, the vehicle will be stopped. The direction indicators
will start to blink, the siren will be turned on. The LED blinks as above.
3.
After next 5 seconds
the car can be started for 10 seconds to drive off the road.
4.
After 30 seconds
the siren goes off. However the car is still stopped, the direction indicators and LED blinks until
the anti-hijack is authorized.
If there is a need to leave the car with the engine running without starting the anti-hijack procedure, the following
sequence has to be completed:
1. Enter the car and close all doors.
2. Start the engine.
3. In 10 seconds from starting the engine, open driver’s door and press the PA button twice. The LED starts to blink.
4. Get off the car and close the door, the anti-hijack function is temporarily disabled until next opening of door - so
after returning to the vehicle, the anti-hijack has to be authorized.
Emergency disarming
Alarm has a procedure of emergency unsetting the security system in case of the remote control is inoperative or not
available (not working or lost).
In order to unset the system with PIN code:
1
.
Open the door with the key (the alarm will trigger).
2.
Turn the ignition on.
3.
Press the valet switch according your PIN CODE.
Interval’s between pressings must be
shorter than 1 second.
4.
After entering number wait 2 seconds. LED will blink as confirmation for accepting of code entered
5.
Repeat procedure from point 3 for next 3
number’s of our PIN CODE.
If the PIN code is correct the alarm will disarm itself and enter the service mode.
We recommend to change factory setting (1111) after receiving car from mounting center.
Service mode
Alarm enables to make different service
task’s for instance: testing of CAN BUS connection, testing of analog input’s,
setting and testing of ultrasonic
sensor’s, additional sensor’s etc.
Service mode is divided in 5
level’s.
Level Nr.1
– detecting of 5 reason’s of alarm triggering and deleting of alarm memory
Level Nr.2
– testing of reaction on opening of doors, trunk and bonnet
Level Nr.3
– testing of 2 additional input’s (sensor’s)
Level Nr.4
– testing and setup of sensitivity for ultrasonic sensor’s.
Level Nr.5
– return to features from factory
Entrance in service mode
1.
Turn of ignition
2.
Turn on ignition
3.
Press and hold valet switch
4.
After 10 seconds, siren chirps once. Release valet switch.
System is in service mode on level nr.1 ( reading of alarm memory)
To exit service mode turn of ignition.
