ADVERTENCIAS
• La instalación de un detector de monóxido de carbono no puede
nunca sus tuir a una correcta instalación, uso y mantenimiento
de los aparatos de combus ón, incluidos los sistemas
apropiados de ven lación y extracción.
• Riesgo de descarga eléctrica o de fallo de funcionamiento si se
manipula el disposi vo.
• Las siguientes sustancias pueden afectar a la fiabilidad del
disposi vo a corto o largo plazo: metano, propano, isobuteno,
isopropanol, e leno, benceno, tolueno, acetato de e lo, sulfuro
de hidrógeno, dióxido de azufre, productos a base de alcohol,
pinturas, diluyentes, disolventes, adhesivos, aerosoles para el

breve escape de emisiones de gases, por ejemplo, durante el
arranque inicial de un aparato.

instalación.
• El disposi vo debe ser instalado por personal debidamente
cualificado.

¿En qué habitación se debe instalar una alarma
de monóxido de carbono?
• Idealmente debe instalarse en todas las habitaciones donde
haya un aparato de combus ón y adicionalmente otros
disposi vos:
- En todos los dormitorios.
- En todas las habitaciones donde se pase mucho empo y
pueda no escucharse el sonido de alarma de otros disposi vos.
• Si el número de disposi vos disponibles es limitado, seleccione
la habitación en la que:
- haya un aparato no conectado a la evacuación de humos o
conectado a un circuito de combus ón no estanco;
- se pase más empo.
• En el caso de un estudio (habitación única que sirve como sala
de estar y dormitorio):
- Instale el disposi vo lo más lejos posible de los
electrodomés cos de cocina y cerca de la zona de dormitorio.
• Si el aparato de combus ón se encuentra en una habitación
poco transitada (p. ej. una sala de calderas), el detector de
monóxido de carbono debe instalarse en el lugar donde la
alarma pueda oírse con mayor facilidad.
• Si un aparato de combus ón ene un conducto de humos
prolongado u oculto, debe instalarse una alarma de monóxido
de carbono en cada habitación por la que pase el conducto de
humos.
¿Dónde se debe instalar una alarma de monóxido
de carbono?
• En habitaciones con un aparato de combus ón:
- A una distancia horizontal de entre 1 m y 3 m del borde más
cercano de la fuente potencial.
- Si hay una par ción en la habitación: en el mismo lado de la
par ción donde se encuentre la fuente potencial.
• En habitaciones sin un aparato de combus ón (como
dormitorios/pasillos):
- Rela vamente cerca de las zonas de respiración de los
ocupantes
Aunque la densidad del monóxido de carbono es similar a la del aire
ambiente, por lo general se emi rá como parte de una mezcla de
gas caliente y por lo tanto tenderá a subir hasta que se enfríe.
• Si el disposi vo se encuentra instalado en una pared, debe
situarse:
- Cerca del techo, pero al menos a 150 mm alejado del techo.
- A una altura superior a la de cualquier puerta o ventana.
• Si el disposi vo se encuentra instalado en el techo:
- A una distancia mínima de 300 mm de cualquier pared.
¿Dónde no se debe instalar una alarma de
monóxido de carbono?
• En un espacio cerrado (en un armario/detrás de una cor na).
• En lugares donde pueda quedar obstaculizado (por ejemplo, por
la presencia de muebles).
• Directamente encima de un fregadero.
• Cerca de una puerta o ventana.
• Cerca de un ven lador de extracción.
• Cerca de una abertura de ven lación u orificios similares.
• En zonas donde la temperatura pueda
alcanzar <-10°C o >40°C.
• En zonas donde la suciedad o el polvo puedan obstruir el sensor.
• En una zona vaporosa o húmeda.
• Justo al lado de electrodomés cos de cocina.
• En lugares donde no puedan visualizarse los indicadores del
disposi vo.
Ac vación
Antes de poner en marcha la alarma de monóxido de carbono es
importante ac varla y comprobar que funcione correctamente.
• Coloque la alarma de monóxido de carbono en la placa de
montaje y gírela hacia la derecha.
• La unidad se encenderá y comenzará una cuenta atrás de 60 a 0.
Cuando se enciende la alarma por primera vez, el indicador de
encendido (verde) parpadea una vez por segundo. Se trata de la
fase de precalentamiento. Durante la fase de precalentamiento,
la pantalla LCD muestra la cuenta atrás. Tras los primeros 60
segundos, el indicador de encendido (verde) parpadea cada 40
segundos para indicar que la unidad funciona correctamente.
Desde ese instante, la unidad está completamente opera va.
• Realice una prueba de funcionamiento del disposi vo
manteniendo pulsado el botón de prueba/silencio durante
aprox. 3 segundos. Si la unidad funciona correctamente, emi rá
un pi do y parpadeará en rojo cuatro veces. Esto es suficiente
para saber que la prueba es fiable. Si no es así, no u lice la
unidad y póngase en contacto con el proveedor. (Nota: La
pantalla LCD muestra todos los segmentos durante la prueba).
Se recomienda anotar la fecha de sus tución (10 años) en la
e queta, en un calendario o en cualquier lugar fácil de localizar.
NOTA: El volumen de la señal de la prueba es inferior al volumen de
la señal de alarma. Si desea escuchar el volumen de la señal de
alarma, mantenga pulsado el botón y escuchará lo siguiente: 4
pi dos bajos (<85 dB) + pausa + 4 pi dos bajos (<85 dB) + pausa + 4
pi dos altos (>85 dB) + pausa + 4 pi dos altos (>85 dB) +
pausa…………….(las dos primeras veces el volumen es bajo y a par r
de la tercera repe ción, el volumen aumenta por encima de 85 dB);
a con nuación escuchará la señal de alarma a un
volumen >85 dB (A).
Montaje
1. Coloque la placa de montaje en el lugar de instalación deseado y
marque los puntos dónde se taladrarán los agujeros.
2. Taladre dos agujeros con un diámetro de 5 mm. La distancia
entre el centro de los agujeros debe ser de 75 mm.
3. Introduzca los tacos de plás co en los agujeros.
4. Coloque el soporte de montaje en la ubicación correcta y jelo
con los tornillos.
5. Coloque y fije el detector de monóxido de carbono en el soporte
de montaje (gírelo hacia la derecha para instalarlo). El
detector de monóxido de carbono se encenderá
automá camente. (Nota: Gírelo hacia la izquierda para
desinstalarlo).
6. Realice una prueba de funcionamiento del disposi vo
manteniendo pulsado el botón de prueba/silencio durante
aprox. 3 segundos. Si la unidad funciona correctamente,
emi rá un pi do y parpadeará en rojo cuatro veces. (Consulte
más detalles en el apartado «Ac vación»).
Funcionamiento normal
En el modo de espera (stand-by), el valor de monóxido de carbono
(si es inferior a 20 PPM se muestra un 0) y la temperatura de la
habitación se muestran alterna vamente cada 40 segundos. Si el
valor de monóxido de carbono es superior a 20 PPM, se omi rá la
visualización de la temperatura y solo se mostrará el valor de
monóxido de carbono. Esta alarma cuenta con un modo nocturno
en el que el led del modo de espera parpadea con menos brillo en
habitaciones oscuras (rango de visualización de la concentración de
CO: 0~999PPM/rango de visualización de temperatura: -9°C hasta
50 °C).
Modo de alarma
Cuando el disposi vo detecta un nivel peligroso de monóxido de
carbono, este emi rá un patrón de alarma muy sonoro. A su vez,
parpadeará el indicador de alarma (rojo) (de acuerdo con las
condiciones indicadas en la tabla de modos de funcionamiento).
Este patrón se repite mientras haya una concentración de CO
peligrosa.
Sensibilidad de la alarma
(conforme a la norma EN 50291-1:2018)

Consulte el apartado «¿Qué debo hacer si se detecta monóxido de
carbono?» si el disposi vo emite una señal de alarma.
Este disposi vo recordará una alarma durante 48 horas mostrando
«AL» en la pantalla LCD. Pulse el botón de prueba/silencio para
reiniciar la memoria y volver al modo de funcionamiento normal.
Función de silenciamiento de alarma
Este detector de monóxido de carbono cuenta con una función de
silenciamiento que permite desac var temporalmente la señal de
alarma (aprox. 10 minutos). Si se ac va la alarma, pulse el botón de
prueba para ac var la función de silenciamiento de alarma. El
indicador de alarma (rojo) con nuará parpadeando como en el
modo de alarma de CO, lo que indica que el disposi vo está
funcionando en el modo de silenciamiento de alarma de CO. Si el
valor de monóxido de carbono sigue siendo superior a 50 PPM tras
10 minutos, el detector volverá al modo de alarma audible. La
función de silenciamiento de alarma no se puede u lizar si el valor
de CO detectado es superior a 200 PPM.
ADVERTENCIA: Si hay alguna duda sobre la causa de una alarma,
debe entenderse que la alarma se debe a niveles peligrosos de
monóxido de carbono y que la vivienda debe ser evacuada.
Modo de batería baja y de silenciamiento de la
advertencia de batería baja
Este detector de monóxido de carbono cuenta con una batería no
reemplazable con una duración es mada de 10 años. Cuando se
está agotando la batería, la alarma de monóxido de carbono lo
indicará con un pi do y parpadeo repe
vo, de acuerdo con las
condiciones indicadas en la tabla de modos de funcionamiento,
durante aprox. 30 días. Cuando se produzca esta advertencia,
reemplace el disposi vo lo antes posible. La señal acús ca de
advertencia de batería baja se puede silenciar durante nueve horas
presionando el botón de prueba/silencio. Advertencia: La batería
está sellada y no se puede reemplazar.
Modo de advertencia de fallo
Cuando el detector de monóxido de carbono no funcione
correctamente, pasará al modo de advertencia de fallo. Durante el
modo de advertencia de fallo, el disposi vo emi rá un pi do doble
cada 8 segundos y parpadeará el indicador de fallos (amarillo). En la
pantalla LCD se mostrará '' Err ” y la función de detección de la
alarma de monóxido de carbono no estará ac va. En ese caso,
pruebe a limpiar la alarma de humo (consulte el apartado
«Mantenimiento») o reemplace de inmediato la alarma de
monóxido de carbono.
Advertencia de final de vida ú l
La advertencia de final de vida ú l indica que la vida ú l de la
alarma de monóxido de carbono está agotándose. Si el disposi vo
emite 3 pi dos cada 40 segundos, el indicador de fallos (amarillo)
parpadea y el LCD muestra «End», significa que se ha llegado al final
de la vida ú l. Si se produce esta advertencia, la alarma de CO
deberá reemplazarse de inmediato.
Mantenimiento
• Este detector de monóxido de carbono cuenta con un
mecanismo de autodiagnós co. Una vez al mes, el detector
comprueba automá camente el funcionamiento del sensor y la
sirena. Durante el autodiagnós co, el aparato emi rá un breve
pi do y parpadeará. Si se detecta cualquier
problema, el detector pasará al modo de error (error de sirena
o error de sensor).
• Recomendamos realizar una comprobación manual del sensor al
menos una vez al año. Para ello, mantenga pulsado el botón de
prueba. Si la prueba falla, la alarma de monóxido de carbono
deberá reemplazarse de inmediato.
• Limpie el aparato al menos una vez al mes para eliminar la
suciedad, el polvo o los residuos. U lice un aspirador con un
cepillo suave y aspire todos los lados y cubiertas del aparato. No
extraiga la cubierta superior de la alarma de monóxido de
carbono para limpiar el interior del aparato.
• No u lice detergentes u otros disolventes para limpiar el
aparato. Evite u lizar ambientadores, laca para el cabello u otros
aerosoles cerca de la alarma de monóxido de carbono.
• No pinte el aparato. No intente nunca desmontar el aparato o
limpiarlo por dentro. Esto hará que la garan a pierda su validez.
• No intente reparar el aparato. Si el aparato presenta un daño
que afecta a su funcionalidad, deberá reemplazarse.
¿Qué debo hacer si se detecta monóxido
de carbono?
Si se ac va la alarma de monóxido de carbono, proceda del modo
siguiente:
• Mantenga la calma y abra todas las puertas y ventanas. Deje de
u lizar aparatos de combus ón y apáguelos.
• Si la alarma con núa, evacue el edificio. Deje abiertas todas las
puertas y ventanas y no vuelva a entrar hasta que se haya
detenido la alarma.
• Solicite ayuda médica si alguien presenta síntomas de
intoxicación por inhalación de monóxido de carbono.
• Póngase en contacto con la agencia de mantenimiento
correspondiente. No u lice aparatos de combus ón hasta que
los haya revisado un técnico cualificado.
Efectos del monóxido de carbono en la salud
El monóxido de carbono es un gas incoloro, inodoro y no irritante
que se clasifica como asfixiante químico, cuya acción tóxica es
resultado directo de la hipoxia producida por una exposición a dicho
gas. El aparato puede no evitar los efectos crónicos de la inhalación
de monóxido de carbono y no protege a las personas frente a un
peligro concreto.
Efectos nocivos para la salud en personas adultas:

Reciclaje y eliminación
El símbolo WEEE indica que este producto y las baterías
deben eliminarse separados de otros residuos domés cos.
Cuando lleguen al final de su vida ú l, llévelos a un punto
específico de recogida de residuos para garan zar una
eliminación o reciclaje seguro. Las baterías deben ser re radas del
producto por una persona cualificada, abriendo el producto por los
clips de sujeción traseros. Proteja el medio ambiente, la salud
humana y los recursos naturales.

El producto está catalogado como mercancía peligrosa. Observar las
norma vas sobre mercancías peligrosas!

Wo sollten Sie einen Kohlenmonoxidmelder
installieren?
• In Räumen mit einem brennsto
etriebenen Gerät:
- In einem horizontalen Abstand zwischen 1 und 3 Metern
von der nächstgelegenen Ecke der poten ellen Quelle.
- Wenn im Raum eine Trennwand vorhanden ist: in
demselben Bereich wie die potenzielle Quelle.
• In Räumen ohne brennsto
etriebenes Gerät (z. B.
Schlafräume/Gänge):
- Rela v nahe an den Atemzonen der Anwesenden.
Obwohl Kohlenmonoxid eine ähnliche Dichte wie die
Umgebungslu hat, wird es normalerweise als Teil eines warmen
Gasgemischs emi ert und steigt daher tendenziell auf, bis es
abkühlt.
•
Befindet sich der Melder an einer Wand, sollte der
Montageort folgende Bedingungen erfüllen:
- Nahe an der Decke, aber mindestens 150 mm von der Decke
en ernt.
- In einer Höhe, die größer ist als die Höhe einer Tür oder
eines Fensters.
• Wenn sich der Apparat an der Decke befindet:
- Mindestens 300 mm von jeder Wand en ernt.
Wo sollten Sie keinen Kohlenmonoxidmelder
installieren?
• In einem geschlossenen Bereich (in einem Schrank/hinter
einem Vorhang).
• Wo er verdeckt werden kann (z. B. durch Möbel).

Ak vierung
Bevor der Kohlenmonoxidmelder in Betrieb genommen wird, ist es
wich g, ihn zu ak vieren und auf einwandfreien Betrieb zu testen.
•
Setzen Sie den Kohlenmonoxidmelder auf die Montagepla e
und drehen Sie ihn im Uhrzeigersinn.
•
Das Gerät schaltet sich ein und zählt von 60 bis 0 herunter.
Wenn der Melder zum ersten Mal eingeschaltet wird, blinkt
die Betriebsanzeige (grün) im Sekundentakt. Dies ist die
Vorwärmphase. Während der Vorwärmphase zeigt die LCD-
Anzeige den Countdown an. Nach den ersten 60 Sekunden
blinkt die Betriebsanzeige (grün) alle 40 Sekunden, um
anzuzeigen, dass das Gerät ordnungsgemäß funk oniert. Ab
diesem Zeitpunkt ist das Gerät voll einsatzfähig.
•
Testen Sie das Gerät, indem Sie die Test-/Stumm-Taste ca. 3
Sekunden lang gedrückt halten. Wenn das Gerät
ordnungsgemäß funk oniert, piept es und blinkt viermal rot.
Dies reicht für einen zuverlässigen Test aus. Verwenden Sie
andernfalls das Gerät nicht und wenden Sie sich an den
Lieferanten! (Hinweis: Auf der LCD-Anzeige erscheinen während
des Tests alle Segmente).
Es wird empfohlen, das Austauschdatum (10 Jahre) auf das E ke ,
in einen Kalender oder an einem anderen leicht zu überprüfenden
Ort zu no eren.
HINWEIS: Die Testsignallautstärke ist niedriger als die
Alarmsignallautstärke. Wenn Sie die Lautstärke des Alarmsignals
hören möchten, halten Sie den Knopf ohne loszulassen gedrückt, es
ertönen: 4 leise Piepöne (< 85dB) + Pause + 4 leise Pieptöne
(< 85dB) + Pause + 4 laute Pieptöne (>85 dB) + Pause + 4 laute
Pieptöne (>85 dB) + Pause…………….(die ersten beiden Durchgänge
sind leise, beginnend mit dem dri en Durchgang steigt die
Lautstärke auf >85 dB), anschließend ertönt das Alarmsignal > 85 dB
(A).
Montage
1. Posi onieren Sie die Montagepla e an dem gewünschten
Einbauort und markieren Sie die vorgesehenen Bohrlöcher.
2. Bohren Sie zwei Löcher mit einem Durchmesser von 5
Millimetern. Der Abstand zwischen der Mi e der beiden
Löcher muss 75 mm betragen.
3. Drücken Sie die Kunststoffdübel in die Bohrlöcher.
4. Platzieren Sie die Montagepla e an der rich gen Stelle und
befes gen Sie diese mit den Schrauben.
5. Platzieren und fixieren Sie den Kohlenmonoxidmelder auf der
Montagepla e (zur Befes gung im Uhrzeigersinn drehen).
(Hinweis: zum Ausbau gegen den Uhrzeigersinn drehen).
6. Testen Sie das Gerät, indem Sie die Test-/Stumm-Taste ca. 3
Sekunden lang gedrückt halten. Wenn das Gerät
ordnungsgemäß funk oniert, piept es und blinkt viermal rot.
(Weitere Einzelheiten finden Sie unter „Ak vierung“).
Normalbetrieb
Im Standby-Modus werden alle 40 Sekunden abwechselnd die
Kohlenmonoxidzahl (wenn sie unter 20 PPM liegt, wird 0 angezeigt)
und die Raumtemperatur angezeigt. Wenn der Kohlenmonoxidwert
höher als 20 PPM ist, en ällt die Temperaturanzeige und es wird nur
der Kohlenmonoxidwert angezeigt. Dieser Alarm verfügt über einen
Nachtmodus, was bedeutet, dass die Standby-LED in dunklen
Räumen weniger hell blinkt (Anzeigebereich der CO-Konzentra on:
0-999PPM / Temperatur-Anzeigebereich: -9 bis 50°C).

Alarmmodus
Wenn das Gerät eine gefährliche Kohlenmonoxidkonzentra on
feststellt, gibt das Gerät ein lautes Alarmmuster aus. Die
Alarmanzeige (rot) blinkt im gleichen Muster (entsprechend den in
der Tabelle der Betriebsarten angegebenen Bedingungen). Dieses
Muster wiederholt sich so lange, wie eine gefährliche
CO-Konzentra on vorliegt.

Bi e beachten Sie den Abschni „Was tun, wenn Kohlenmonoxid
festgestellt wird“, wenn das Gerät ein Alarmsignal abgibt.
Dieses Gerät speichert einen Alarm 48 Stunden, indem es „AL“ auf
dem LCD-Bildschirm anzeigt. Drücken Sie die Test-/Stumm-Taste, um
den Speicher zurückzusetzen und zur normalen Betriebsart
zurückzukehren.
Alarmstummschaltung
Dieser Kohlenmonoxidmelder ist mit einer Stummschaltung
ausgesta et, die eine vorübergehende Deak vierung des
Alarmsignals ermöglicht (ca. zehn Minuten). Wenn der Alarm
ausgelöst wird, drücken Sie die Tes aste, um die
Alarmstummschaltung zu ak vieren. Die Alarmanzeige (rot) blinkt
weiterhin im CO-Alarmmodus, sie zeigt an, dass das Gerät in den
CO-Alarmstummschaltungsmodus wechselt. Wenn der
Kohlenmonoxidwert nach 10 Minuten immer noch 50 PPM
überschreitet, kehrt der Melder in den akus schen Alarmmodus
zurück. Die Alarmstummschaltung kann nicht verwendet werden,
wenn der erkannte CO-Wert höher als 200 PPM ist.
ACHTUNG: Wenn irgendeine Frage zur Ursache des Alarms besteht,
sollte angenommen werden, dass der Alarm auf eine gefährliche
Konzentra on von Kohlenmonoxid zurückzuführen ist und die
Wohnung evakuiert werden sollte.
Betrieb bei niedrigem Ba eriestand und
Stummschaltung niedriger Ba eriestand
Dieser Kohlenmonoxidmelder ist mit einer nicht austauschbaren
Ba erie mit einer Lebensdauer von 10 Jahren ausgesta et. Wenn
die Ba erie fast entladen ist, zeigt der Kohlenmonoxidmelder dies
mit einem sich wiederholenden Piepton und Blinken an,
entsprechend den in der Tabelle der Betriebsarten angegebenen
Bedingungen für etwa 30 Tage. Wenn diese Warnung erscheint,
tauschen Sie das Gerät so schnell wie möglich aus! Das hörbare
Warnsignal bei niedrigem Ba eriestand kann durch Betä gung der
Tes aste für neun Stunden stumm geschaltet werden.
Achtung: Die Ba erie ist fest eingebaut und nicht austauschbar.
Modus Störungsmeldung
Wenn der Kohlenmonoxidmelder nicht rich g funk oniert, wechselt
er in den Störungsmeldungsmodus. Im Störungsmeldungsmodus
piept das Gerät zweimal alle 8 Sekunden und die Fehleranzeige
(gelb) blinkt. Die LCD-Anzeige zeigt „Err“ an, und die
Erkennungsfunk on des Kohlenmonoxidmelders ist ausgeschaltet.
Versuchen Sie den Melder (siehe Abschni Wartung) zu reinigen
oder tauschen Sie den Kohlenmonoxidmelder aus!
Warnung zum Ende der Lebensdauer
Die Warnung Ende der Lebensdauer zeigt das Lebensende des
Kohlenmonoxidmelders an. Wenn das Gerät alle 40 Sekunden 3 Mal
piept, die Störungsanzeige (gelb) blinkt und auf der LCD-Anzeige
„End“ erscheint, dann ist das Lebensdauerende des
Kohlenmonoxidmelders erreicht. Wenn diese Warnung erscheint,
muss der CO-Melder unverzüglich ersetzt werden.
Wartung
• Dieser Kohlenmonoxidmelder ist mit einem Selbs est-
Mechanismus ausgesta et. Einmal im Monat überprü der
Melder automa sch die Funk onsfähigkeit des Sensors und
der Sirene. Das Gerät wird während des Selbs ests kurz
piepsen und blinken. Wenn Probleme erkannt werden,
schaltet der Melder in den Störungsmodus (Sirenenfehler
oder Sensorfehler).
• Wir empfehlen, den Melder mindestens einmal pro Jahr
manuell durch Drücken und Halten der Tes aste zu testen.
Wenn der Test fehlschlägt, muss der Kohlenmonoxidmelder
unverzüglich ersetzt werden!
• Reinigen Sie das Gerät mindestens einmal pro Monat, um
Schmutz, Staub oder Ablagerungen zu besei gen. Benutzen
Sie einen Staubsauger mit einer weichen Bürste und saugen
Sie alle Seiten und Abdeckungen des Geräts ab. En ernen Sie
nicht die obere Abdeckung des Kohlenmonoxidmelders, um
ihn innen zu reinigen.
• Verwenden Sie zur Reinigung des Geräts niemals
Reinigungsmi el oder andere Lösungsmi el. Vermeiden Sie
das Versprühen von Lu erfrischern, Haarspray oder anderen
Aerosolen in der Nähe des Kohlenmonoxidmelder.
• Das Gerät darf nicht lackiert werden. Versuchen Sie niemals,
das Gerät zu zerlegen oder innen zu reinigen, sonst erlischt
Ihre Garan e.
• Versuchen Sie nicht, dieses Gerät zu reparieren. Wenn das
Gerät Störungen im Zusammenhang mit seiner
Funk onsfähigkeit zeigt, muss es ausgetauscht werden!
Was tun, wenn Kohlenmonoxid festgestellt wird
Wenn der Kohlenmonoxidalarm ausgelöst wird, ergreifen Sie bi e
die folgenden Maßnahmen:
• Bewahren Sie Ruhe und öffnen Sie alle Türen und Fenster.
Hören Sie auf, brennsto
etriebene Geräte zu benutzen und
schalten Sie sie aus.

In which room should you install a
carbon monoxide alarm?
•
Ideally: in every room containing a fuel-burning appliance and
addi onal:
- In every bedroom.
- In every room where much me is spent and the alarm
sound from other apparatuses may not be heard.
• If the number of available apparatuses is limited, then choose
for the room where:
- A flueless or open-flued appliance is located.
- Most me is spent.
• In case of bedsit (single room serving as both si ng room and
bedroom):
- Locate the apparatus as far as possible from the cooking
appliances and near the sleeping area.
•
If the fuel-burning appliance is in a room not normally
frequented (for example a boiler room), the carbon monoxide
detector should be posi oned so that the alarm may be heard
more easily.
• Where a fuel-burning appliance has an extended and/or
concealed flue, a carbon monoxide alarm should be installed
in each room through which the flue passes.
Where should you install a
carbon monoxide alarm?
• In rooms with a fuel-burning appliance:
- At a horizontal distance of between 1 m. and 3 m. from the
nearest edge of the poten al source.
- If there is a par
on in the room: at the same side of the

on as the poten al source.

In rooms without a fuel-burning appliance (such as sleeping
rooms/hall ways):
- Rela vely close to the breathing zones of occupants.
Although carbon monoxide has a similar density to that of ambient
air, it will normally be emi ed as part of a warm gas mixture and will
therefore tend to rise un l it cools.
• If the apparatus is located on a wall, it should be located:
- Close to the ceiling, but at least 150 mm. from the ceiling.
- At a height greater than the height of any door or window.
• If the apparatus is located on the ceiling:
- At least 300 mm from any wall.
Where should you not install a
carbon monoxide alarm?
• In an enclosed space (in a cupboard/behind a curtain).
• Where it can be obstructed (by for example furniture).
• Directly above a sink.
• Next to door or window.
• Next to an extractor fan.
• Next to an air vent / similar ven la on openings.

Ac va on
Before commissioning the carbon monoxide alarm, it is important to
ac vate it and test it for correct opera on.
•
Place the carbon monoxide alarm on the moun ng plate and
rotate it clockwise.
•
The unit will switch on and count down from 60 to 0. When
the alarm is powered on for the first me, the power
indicator (green) flashes every second. This is the preheat
phase. During the preheat phase, the LCD
•
displays the countdown. A er the first 60 seconds, the power
indicator (green) flashes every 40 seconds to indicate that the
unit is func oning properly. From this point, the unit is fully
opera onal.
•
Test the device by pressing and holding the test/silence
bu on for approx. 3 seconds. If the unit is working properly, it
will beep and flash red four mes. This is enough for a reliable
test. If this is not the case, do not use the unit and contact the
supplier! (Note: The LCD displays all segments during
tes ng).
It's recommended to write the replacement date (10 years) on the
label, in a calendar or anywhere easy to review.
NOTE: The test signal volume is lower than the alarm signal volume.
If you want to hear the volume of the alarm signal, keep on pressing
the bu on without release, you will hear: 4 low beeps (<85dB) +
pause + 4 low beeps (<85dB) + pause + 4 high beeps (>85dB) +
pause + 4 high beeps (>85dB) + pause…………….(first 2 rounds are
low, start from 3rd round become high >85dB), then you will hear
the alarm signal of > 85 dB (A).
Moun ng
1. Place the moun ng plate on the desired installa on loca on
and mark where the holes should be drilled.
2. Drill 2 holes with a diameter of 5 millimetres. The distance
between the centre of the two holes must be 75 mm.
3. Push the plas c plugs into the holes.
4. Place the moun ng bracket on the correct loca on and fasten
it with the screws.
5. Place and fixate the carbon monoxide detector on the
moun ng bracket (rotate clockwise for installa on) The
carbon monoxide will switch on automa cally. (Note: rotate
counter clockwise for un-installa on).
6. Test the correct opera on of the device by pressing and
holding the test/silence bu on for approx. 3 seconds. If the
unit is working properly, it will beep and flash red four mes.

Normal opera on
In standby mode, the carbon monoxide value (if lower than 20 PPM,
0 is displayed) and room temperature are displayed alternately
every 40 seconds. If the carbon monoxide value is higher than 20
PPM, the temperature display will be omi ed and only the carbon
monoxide value will be displayed. This alarm is equipped with a
night mode, which means that the standby led flashes less bright in
dark rooms (CO concentra on display range: 0~999PPM /
Temperature display range: -9 to 50°C).

Alarm mode
When the device detects a dangerous level of carbon monoxide, the
device will emit a loud alarm pa ern. The alarm indicator (red) will
flash at the same pa ern (according to the condi ons indicated in
the table of opera on modes). This pa ern repeats as long as a
dangerous CO concentra on exists.

Please refer to paragraph “What to do if carbon monoxide is
detected?” if the device emits an alarm signal.
This device will remember an alarm for 48 hours by showing “AL” on
the LCD screen. Test the test/silence bu on to reset the memory
and return to normal opera on mode.
Alarm silence facility
This carbon monoxide detector is equipped with a silence facility
that allows the alarm signal to be temporarily deac vated
(approximately ten minutes). If the alarm is triggered, press the test
bu on to ac vate the alarm silence facility. The alarm indicator (red)
will keep flashing as CO alarm mode, it indicates the device is
running into the CO alarm silence mode. If the carbon monoxide
value s ll exceeds 50 PPM a er 10 minutes, the detector will return
to audible alarm mode. The alarm silence func on cannot be used if
the detected CO value is higher than 200 PPM.
WARNING: If there is any ques on as to the cause of an alarm, it
should be assumed that the alarm is due to dangerous levels of
carbon monoxide and the dwelling should be evacuated!
Low ba ery mode and low ba ery silence
This carbon monoxide detector is equipped with a non-replaceable
ba ery with a service life of 10 years. When the ba ery is running
low, the carbon monoxide alarm will indicate this with a repe
ve
beep and flash, according to the condi ons indicated in the table of
opera on modes, for approximately 30 days. When this warning
occurs, replace the device as soon as possible! The acous c low
ba ery warning signal can be muted for nine hours by pressing the
test/silence bu on.
Warning: The ba ery is sealed and not replaceable.
Fault warning mode
When the carbon monoxide detector is not func oning properly, it
will turn into the fault warning mode. While in fault warning mode,
the device will beep twice every 8 seconds and the fault indicator
(yellow) will flash. The LCD displays ''Err” and the carbon monoxide
alarm has no detec ng func on. Try cleaning the smoke alarm (see
paragraph maintenance) or immediately replace the carbon
monoxide alarm!
End of life warning
The end of life warning indicates the end of life of the carbon
monoxide alarm. If the device beeps 3 mes every 40 seconds, the
fault indicator (yellow) flashes and the LCD displays “End “, then the
end of life is reached. If this warning occurs, then the CO alarm
needs to be replaced immediately.
Maintenance
• This carbon monoxide detector is equipped with a self-test
mechanism. Once a month, the detector automa cally checks
the func onality of the sensor and the siren. The device will
shortly beep and flash during the self-test. If problems are
detected, the detector switches to error mode (siren error or
sensor error).
• We recommend tes ng the detector manually at least once a
year by pressing and holding the test bu on. If the test fails, the
carbon monoxide alarm must be replaced immediately!
• Clean this device at least once per month to remove dirt, dust or
debris. Use a vacuum cleaner with a so brush and vacuum all
sides and covers of the device. Do not remove the top cover of
the carbon monoxide alarm to clean it inside.
• Never use detergents or other solvents to clean the unit. Avoid
spraying air fresheners, hair spray, or other aerosols near the
carbon monoxide alarm.

What to do if carbon monoxide is detected?
If the carbon monoxide alarm is triggered, please take the following
ac ons:
• Keep calm and open all doors and windows. Stop using fuel-

and windows open and do not enter before the alarm has
stopped.
• Get medical help for anyone who is suffering the effects of
carbon monoxide poisoning.
• Contact the appropriate maintenance agency. Do not use

Health effects of carbon monoxide
Carbon monoxide is a colourless, odourless and non-irrita ng gas
which is classified as a chemical asphyxiant, whose toxic ac on is a
direct result of the hypoxia produced by a given exposure. The
