Explanation of the camera functions
Functions on the top of the camera (see figure 1).

Exposure button
Press this button to take a photograph. This
button is also used to start and stop recording a
video clip.

Rotary button
Selection button for selecting the mode.

Viewfinder
The viewfinder is used to determine the
size and the position of the photograph.
The actual photograph is recorded by the
lens and not the viewfinder. The image may
differ when the digital zoom is used.

Flash
The built-in flash provides more light for the
subject to be photographed.
4 Automatic
exposure
indicator
Flashes when the automatic exposure
function is used.

USB connection
Connection for connecting the camera to
the USB port of a computer.

DC-In connection
Connection for an external power adapter
(not supplied -> 3.3 VDC, 2.0 A).

Macro switch
Switch for selecting the correct lens setting.
See chapter 10.2 for more information.

Lens
Records the image to be taken.
