Point Description Function

2 On/Off switch Turns the camera on and off.
3 Menu button Opens the menu.
4 Wrist strap fixing point Eye for fixing the wrist strap to the
camera.
5 Control button Button for scrolling through the menu.
6 LCD button Button for turning the LCD screen on
and off.
7 LCD screen Screen for recording and displaying.
8 Indicator Indicator for a certain camera mode.

Point Description Function
1 Counter Indicates:
Recording mode : the number of
photographs which can still be taken.
Playback mode : the recording number.
Video mode : the maximum duration of a
video clip.
2 Flash Indicates the state of the flash (see Table
9).
3 White balance indicator Displays the selected white balance
setting. Not displayed if the white balance
has been set to ‘Auto’
(See Table 10 and chapter 10.5.4.)
4 Compression Displays the selected compression (see
table 10).
5 Resolution Displays the selected resolution (see
Table 10).
6 Date Displays the date (see chapter 13).
7 Exposure Displays the altered exposure setting. It is
not displayed if EV=0 (see chapter
10.5.3).
8 Memory Indicates whether a memory card has
been inserted (see chapter 14.1).
9 Battery Displays the battery power (see Table 1).
10 Macro Indicates when the macro setting has
been selected (see 10.2).
11 Digital zoom Indicates when the digital zoom has been
selected (see chapter 10.1).
12 Mode indicator Indicator when taking photographs or
recording video clips.
The video indicator is also displayed in
the display mode.
