5) A 0-10 VDC external analog control signal installed across terminals 10 and 11 can be used to either adjust the

boiler water setpoint or to control the firing rate. Refer to the 0-10VDC control manufacturer’s instructions for the

size and type of wire to use for the 0-10VDC connections between the external control and the boiler. In general,

it is a good idea to route this wiring away from potential sources of electrical noise, such as transformers, power

lines, and fluorescent lighting. Where such sources cannot be avoided, it may be necessary to use properly grounded

shielded cable.

The MCBA (boiler control) must be reprogrammed in order to accept the 0-10VDC signal. Refer to Appendix A for

information on how to do this.
