Do-it-yourself maintenance

MAINTENANCE AND CARE

2. Remove the light bulb from the bulb

base.

3. Reinstall the new light bulb in the

reverse of removal.

REPLACING THE REMOTE CONTROL TRANSMITTER BATTERY

If the key battery is discharged the following symptoms may occur:

• The wireless remote control and, if fitted, the smart entry and start system will not

function properly

• The operational range will be reduced

CAUTION

• Keep away from children. Swallowing the battery or any of its components may

cause injury or death.

• Special care should be taken to prevent anyone from swallowing the removed

transmitter battery or components.

NOTICE

• When replacing the remote control transmitter battery, be careful not to lose the

components.

• Replace the battery only with the same or equivalent type recommended by a

Toyota dealer.

• Dispose of used batteries according to the local laws.

Standard type ignition switch

For replacement, you must use a CR2016 lithium battery or equivalent.

1. Cover the tip of the screwdriver with a

rag or tape, etc.

2. Prise the key cover with the

screwdriver and remove the cover.
HINT:
To prevent the buttons from being
dislodged, face the button surface
downward.
