Press the [SETTING/OK] and/or [START] button.
The equipment starts scanning the front image of the card. Wait until the LCD screen shows “SET BACK OF ID
CARD” and illustrates how to place the card on the original glass.

[SETTING/OK] shows the next screen for confirmation. Press the [START] button to start scanning.

[START] starts scanning immediately.
10 Place the back of the card face down on the original glass.
1) Open the platen cover.
2) Turn over the card and place the back surface face down on the original glass.
3) Align the long edge of the card against the left rear corner of the original glass.
Be sure to place the card in the landscape orientation as illustrated below.
11 Press the [START] button.
The equipment starts scanning the back image of the card and then it automatically starts printing the scanned
images on a sheet of paper.

Erasing the shadow on edges
You can set “EDGE ERASE” to erase the shadow on the edges of copies. When you copy thick books, you can erase the
surrounding shadow with this function. The area to erase can be changed from 4 mm to 15 mm (0.2” to 0.6”) in increments
of 1 mm (0.04”).
1 Press the [MENU] button to enter the “MENU” mode.
2 Make sure that the first “ADVANCED FUNCTION” is selected.
You can scroll through the menu with the or button.
3 Press the [SETTING/OK] button to enter the “ADVANCED FUNCTION” menu.

Press the or button to select “EDGE ERASE”.
5 Press the [SETTING/OK] button.
