center-channel plate at the centerpunch marks
that you made in step

Drilling the Front Frame Channel
1. Loosely assemble the bottom bracket, ball-picker
mount and center-channel plate as shown in
Figure 52 with 8 flange bolts (3/8 x 1 inch) and 8
flange locknuts (3/8 inch).
