These operating instructions convey important safety tips
and information necessary to operate the device correctly!
In order to prevent damage due to improper use, the operat-
ing instructions should be observed and kept safe as well as
passed on to any subsequent owners!
All safety notes are for your personal safety!
WARNING! Danger to life from electric shock!
There is danger to life in case of contact with live
cables or components! Hence, please observe the following
safety instructions:
• Ensure that the voltage specification (V) on the type plate
of the device matches the mains voltage!
• Do not pull the power cable over sharp edges, trap it or al-
low it to hang down. The power cable should be protected
from heat and moisture.
• The connecting cable must not come into contact with hot
appliance parts!
• Always switch the device off after use!
• Only insert the plug into the socket when the device is
switched off!
• Never wrap the power cord around the device!
• Always remove the plug when you clean the device, in the
event of faults, or when the device is not in use!
• Never put down/place the device and power cables on hot
surfaces such as hobs, or similar. Do not allow it close to
naked flames!
• Before use check that the appliance functions properly! The
appliance should not be used if:
- the connecting cable is damaged
- the appliance shows noticeable damage
- the appliance has been dropped

There is danger to life if the live appliance comes in
contact with water! Hence, please observe the fol-
lowing safety instructions:

Do not use this appliance near bath-
tubs, showers, basins or other vessels containing
water.
• When the device is used in a bathroom, unplug it
after use since the proximity of water presents a
hazard even when the device is switched off.
• Do not pull the plug out of the socket by pulling on
the cable or when your hands are wet!
• As additional protection, the installation of a resid-
ual current device (RCD) with a measured residual
current of no more than 30mA is recommended in
the bathroom power circuit.
CAUTION!
Please observe the following safety instructions to avoid
damages and risks attributable to improper use:
• These appliances can be used by children from the
age of 8 up as well as by persons with reduced physi-
cal, sensory or mental abilities or with lacking experi-
ence and/or knowledge, if these persons are supervised
or have been instructed how to use the appliance in a
safe way and have understood the hazards which could
arise from using it. Children must not play with the
appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be
carried out by children unless they are supervised.
• Before each use, check the device to ensure it is in perfect
condition!
• The device heats up when used.
• Never put the device down on soft pillows or linen when it
is switched on!
• The appliance must not come into contact with flammable
materials. It must also not be used near flammable materi-
als because the brush body reaches temperatures of approx.
150°C!
• Never transport or pack away the appliance when it is hot!
• Do not put the appliance on a table or a flammable base
when it is switched ON.
• Do not place the appliance or the connecting cable on hot
surfaces e.g. cooker or similar or in the vicinity of open
flames!
• Never cover the brush body with any object!

Do not use if hair is very wet. Do not use on fake hair.
• The appliance is not suitable for styling animal hair!
• Protect the appliance against climatic influences such as
damp or direct sunlight. The appliance is not approved for
use outdoors.
• The device is not suitable for cleaning in a dishwasher!
WARNING! Danger of burns from hot appliance
components!
Components of the appliance can become very hot during
operation and lead to possible burns. Hence, please observe
the following safety instructions:
• Never use flammable substances, e.g. hairspray, styling
mousse etc., on your hair before using this appliance as this
