3. Place the eye tracker so the top of the eye tracker
aligns with the bottom of the display when looking at the
display from a normal user position.
When the eye tracker is placed in the proper position
according to the instructions above, tighten the hand
screws on the laptop mounting fixture and ensure that
any movement of the display will not affect the geometric
relation between the display and the eye tracker.
4. After you have mounted the Tobii X1 Light Eye Tracker system properly and
attached the power source to an outlet and attached the USB connector to
your computer, restart your computer.
To complete the setup, enter the relevant measurements into the X Configuration Tool
(see chapter 6 The X Configuration Tool on page 36 for instructions on how to do
this). Pay special attention to the measurements of the display and eye tracker angles
as these have a vital impact on the accuracy of the eye tracking data.
Do not tighten the hand screws at the back of the mounting bracket too tight as that
can damage the laptop monitor.
