CHAPTER 3. Performing Settings with Internet Explorer
Gain Control
Can be set to Automatic Gain Control (AGC) or fixed value (0, 2, 4, 8, or 16 dB).
Sensitivity Up
The camera’s light sensitivity rate of increase can be set to OFF, 2x, 4x, 6x, 8x, 10x, 16x, 25x, or 32x.

Automatically adjusts the sensitivity in the range that the Sensitivity
Up function is not used. This mode is also used to eliminate
residual images in dark situations.
The AGC gain is set to a fixed value between 0 and 18dB, and is
automatically increased by the set rate in dark conditions. Use this
mode when noise is a greater annoyance than residual image.
Responds to brightness changes only by way of the lens iris.
Use this mode when both noise and residual image are an
annoyance.
Sensitivity automatically increases by the designated rate.Change
the rate of increase when attaching move importance to less
residual image than sensitivity. This mode is recommended for
normal use.

Note: The Sensitivity Up function is achieved by increasing the time required to store light in the image
sensor. For this reason, when the Sensitivity Up function is enabled, images of quickly moving subjects
appear blurred—a phenomenon caused by residual image.
White Balance
"ATW," "AWB," and "Manual" settings can be selected
ATW
:The camera’s white balance changes in response to changes in the subject’s color temperature.
AWB
:Once white balance is adjusted at the time of camera installation, the set white balance is maintained
thereafter even if the subject’s color temperature changes. (Factory-preset to 3100K.)
Manual :Adjust the white balance so that the color appears natural when viewing the subject in special lighting
situations.
Chroma Level
Selecting "Manual" permits color chroma adjustment. To adjust, drag the slide bar with the mouse or click on
the Left
or Right
keys located on the ends of the slide bar.
Enhancer
Selecting "Manual" permits contour enhancement adjustment. To adjust, drag the slide bar with the mouse or
click on the Left
or Right
keys located on the ends of the slide bar.
Reset
Clicking the "Initialize" button causes all parameters of the camera to revert to their initial status (factory-
preset settings).
