1. BROADCASTING FUNCTIONS
Types of Broadcast
Broadcasts over network PA systems are made according to the settings for
classification, priority degree, fade-in/fade-out (FI/FO) time and ducker.
Each setting is performed for individual audio input channels in the system’s
Equipment settings. For details, please refer to Chapter 4, System Settings.
Explanation of Settings
[Classification]
There are 3 classifications: BGM, general-purpose and emergency.
[Priority Degree]
This refers to the degree of priority assigned to individual broadcasts. The priority
degree differs depending on classification.

When broadcast destinations simultaneously overlap, the broadcast with higher priority is
allowed to go through

[FI/FO Time]
This function is enabled for broadcasts with a ‘BGM’ classification.
The broadcast fades in or fades out in accordance with the FI/FO beginning or
ending times set.
[Ducker]*
This function is enabled for broadcasts with a ‘BGM’ classification.
Volume and FI/FO times can be set.
When the BGM broadcast is interrupted by a general-purpose broadcast, its volume
is attenuated to a set level following a set time duration.
* A muting function that automatically attenuates the output level of lower priority broadcasts
when multiple broadcasts are simultaneously being output.
