Changing Motor Parameters
Moves are performed using a trapezoidal velocity profile (see Appendix D, Section
D.1.3.). The velocity settings relate to the minimum and maximum velocities at which
a move is performed, and the acceleration at which the motor speeds up from
minimum to maximum velocity.
1) Click the ‘Channel’ switch to select channel 1.
2) On the GUI panel, click the ‘Settings’ button (bottom right hand corner of the
display) to display the Settings panel.

3) Select the Move/Jogs tab as shown in Fig. 4.12.
4) In the ‘Moves’ field, change the parameters as follows:
‘Min. Vel’ - ‘0’
‘Max. Vel’ - ‘0.4’
‘Accn/Dec’ - ‘0.2’
5) Click ‘OK’ to save the settings and close the window.
6) Any further moves initiated on channel 1 will now be performed at a maximum
velocity of 0.4mm per second, with an acceleration of 0.2mm/sec/sec.
