User Manual

Ethernet, FEC Tab

To access this view, in the

Snapshot

panel, right-click:



On an Ethernet input and choose

Display Ethernet information



On an IP input with FEC correction enabled, and choose

Display FEC

information

. This is available only if you have purchased the FEC

option.

The

Ethernet, FEC

tab is displayed and provides statistics on the input.

It also indicates the date of the last counter reset, and the

Reset

button

lets you reset the statistics on the selected input.

Ethernet Information

The Ethernet statistics area contains two types of information:

statistics

and

TX statistics

Each area displays the number of frames on which the statistics are
provided.

Each counter is independent and automatically stops when the
maximum number of frame is received, as in the TX statistics area in

Figure 3-103

. You can see that this area reads "more than 2E32 frames",

which means 2

frames. In this case you must reset the statistics to keep

on monitoring the statistics.
