TCD 01 Tracing Control Display: General Settings Menu
In the General Setting Menu following parameters can be set:
3.3.1
Number of First Circuit
This number determines the first visual circuit number to be shown in the display. This feature is very handy
in case multiple heat tracing control panels are required in one plant. It enables unique heat tracing circuit
numbers throughout the plant.
3.3.2
Password
Here a security password, a 3 digit number can be set for parameter and General Settings Menu protection.
For changing temperature or load current set point no password is needed. Do never forget the password
number. Note it down where only authorised personnel can find it.
000
: means no password protection of parameters
NOTE:
The password must always be set in case a TC 816 configured as Heat Tracing Cable Temperature
Limiter is connected to the TCD 01. It ensures that all trips of that safety device can only be acknowl-
edged through a password, as required for temperature protection devices in hazardous areas
(potentially explosive atmospheres)
