The umbilical cable is used to connect the rack system (in the CEMS
shelter) with the extraction probe. The umbilical cable includes high-
temperature, corrosive-resistant wiring, and chemically inert tubing with
select adsorbtion characteristics. Refer to the electrical/pneumatic
connection drawings in the System Reference Drawings appendix.
