Permitted Materials
The iCAP Qnova Series ICP-MS instrument is designed to be operated
with the materials listed in the following tables.

: Materials and their use: applicable for all instruments

: Gases for CCT use for iCAP RQ ICP-MS
•
: Gases for CR use for iCAP TQ ICP-MS and iCAP TQs
ICP-MS

: Liquids and sample matrices applicable for all

Used to maintain the plasma and to actuate pneumatic
controls.
Additional Gases:

Used for gas dilution of high matrix samples. A small amount
of methane (CH

) might be added for optional sensitivity
enhancement for arsenic (As) and selenium (Se).
NOTICE
Maximum content of methane: 4.5%.
Nitrogen or mixtures with helium and/or
argon
Used to enhance sensitivity.
Oxygen or mixtures with helium and/or
argon
Used for the analysis of organic matrices.
