On the E-Panel, under Eluent Generator Tab, set the Eluent Polarity to Acidic Eluents.
Set MSA
prog
to 100 mM. Turn on the Dionex EGC power.
I.
Condition the Dionex EGC-MSA (Capillary) for 30 min.
J.
Turn off the pump.
K.
Remove the PEEK backpressure tubing from the EGC OUT port of the Dionex EGC-
MSA (Capillary).
L.
Connect the EGC OUT port of the Dionex EGC-MSA (Capillary) to the ELUENT IN
port of the Dionex RFIC Capillary EGC MSA Degasser (Item # 22181-60211). Direct
the ELUENT OUT to waste.
M.
Set the pump flow rate to 0.05 mL/min and turn the pump on for 10 min.
N.
Remove the vent plug on the top of the Dionex EGC-KOH (Capillary) cartridge.
O.
Connect the ELUENT OUT port of the Dionex RFIC Capillary EGC MSA Degasser
(Item # 22181-60211) and the EGC IN port of the Dionex EGC-KOH (Capillary)
cartridge. Direct the EGC OUT port of the cartridge to waste.
P.
Turn on the pump and pump DI water through the Dionex EGC-KOH (Capillary) for 15
minutes at the flow rate of 0.1 mL/min.
Q.
Connect the EGC OUT port of the Dionex EGC-KOH (Capillary) cartridge to a PEEK
backpressure tubing (Item # 22181-20032). Direct the backpressure tubing to waste.
R.
Set the pump flow rate to 0.020 mL/min.
S.
On the E-Panel, under Eluent Generator Tab, set the Eluent Polarity to Basic Eluents.
Set KOH
prog
to 100 mM. Turn on the Dionex EGC power.
T.
Condition the Dionex EGC-KOH (Capillary) for 30 min.
U.
On the E-Panel, turn the Dionex EGC power OFF and keep the pump running at 0.02
mL/min for 10 min.
V.
Turn off the pump.
W.
Remove the PEEK backpressure tubing from the EGC OUT port of the Dionex EGC-
KOH (Capillary) cartridge.
X.
Connect the EGC OUT port of the Dionex EGC-KOH (Capillary) cartridge to the
ELUENT IN port of the Dionex RFIC Capillary Eluent Degasser (Item # 22181-60202).
Y.
Connect the ELUENT OUT port of the Dionex Capillary RFIC Eluent Degasser (Item #
22181-60202) to a PEEK backpressure tubing (Item # 22181-20032). Direct the
backpressure tubing to waste.
Z.
With EGC power OFF, turn on the pump at the flow rate of 0.020 mL/min. Flush the
Dionex RFIC Capillary Eluent Degasser (Item # 22181-60202) for 15 min.
AA.
Turn off the pump.
BB.
Remove the PEEK backpressure tubing (Item # 22181-20032) from the ELUENT OUT
port of the Dionex RFIC EGC Capillary Eluent Degasser (Item # 22181-60202).
CC.
Connect the ELUENT OUT of the Dionex RFIC Capillary Eluent Degasser (Item #
22181-60202) to P port of the injection valve.
DD.
Install the column to C port of the injection valve. Direct the OUTLET of the column to
waste.
EE.
With EGC power OFF, turn on the pump and pump DI water at the flow rate of 0.010
mL/min for 15 min.
FF.
With Eluent Polarity set to Basic Eluents, set KMSA
prog
and KOH
prog
to the desired
concentrations for the applications. Turn on the Dionex EGC power for 60 min.
GG.
Connect the OUTLET of the column to the CELL IN of the ED cell, and direct the CELL
OUT to waste.
