CONTROLLER OPERATION
USER INTERFACE
The control of the boiler is ensured by a controller
TM171PFE03 from the Schneider Electric
company. The LCD display of the controller
provides an interface for configuring and
displaying the boiler parameters and status.
A communication module also allows you to
integrate the controller with an intelligent building
management system (BACnet protocol). It is also
equipped with an Ethernet connection. Allowing
the connection to the Internet network of the
building allowing reading and modifying locally or
remotely the boiler setting. It can be configured to
send alarm messages via e-mail.
Icons will also display to
indicate the boiler’s
current operating status. Temperature can be
displayed in Celsius or Fahrenheit and text can
be set to either English or French.
The controller has a backlight function. It is also
equipped with three indicator lights (Green /
Yellow / Red). The green light indicates normal
operation of the unit; the yellow light indicates that
the controller has diagnosed and anomaly which
requires verification by a technician. The red light
indicates that the unit is currently in a critical state
(high temperature alarm) or in lock out mode.

. The controller can also be
configured to activate an internal buzzer and
activate an external alarm signal
when an alarm
condition occurs causing the boiler to fail.
