2.
Select at least two holes in the bottom of the bracket and mark the mounting
surface.
3.
Carefully drill holes in the marked locations appropriate for the fasteners that will
be used.
4.
Install drywall or masonry anchors in their holes if they will be used.
5.
Hold the bracket in position and secure with screws through the selected holes.
Storing Excess Fiber Inside Bracket
If the optical fiber cable is a little long, the excess can be wound around guides molded
inside the Wall Mounting Bracket before the ONT is attached. This prevents cable bend
radii that are less than optimum. Several feet of cable can be stored inside the bracket.
It is very important that the correct entrance and exit holes in the bracket are used.
1.
Mark the optical fiber cable about 10 inches from the end of the connector with a
Sharpie or other permanent marker, or a piece of electrical tape.
2.
Position the mark on the cable just outside bracket and push the cable into the
strain-relief fingers just inside the cable exit hole. The fingers will hold the cable
in place while it is wound on the guides.
3.
Continue winding the cable around the guides and under the clips until most of
the excess cable length is used up.
4.
Route the cable out the entry hole in the bracket on the last turn.
Use a short piece of electrical tape to hold the cable in place just inside the entry hole.
